Q: What is Tornado? A: The Tornado is stainless steel non-moving device that inserts into the air intake hose on fuel-injected vehicles and inside the air filter housing on carbureted vehicles. Q: How does the Tornado work? A: The Tornado swirls the incoming air, literally mixing the air and fuel together more efficient. A more efficient mixture means a more efficient burn. Q: What is the life expectancy of the Tornado? A: The Tornado is made of stainless steel and has no moving parts. Therefore, there is no deterioration of the product. Once installed the Tornado does not need to be cleaned or replaced. Q: What kind of results can I expect? A: Typically our customers have reported a noticeable gain in gas mileage, usually ranging 1-2 more miles per gallon. Q: Is the Tornado easy to install? A: Normally, the Tornado takes about 5-10 minutes to install. EFI-Remove the air hose from the mass air sensor and install the Tornado in the hose with the engine arrow facing the throttle body. If needed, bend out the end tabs on the Tornado to gain up to 3mm. Carbureted/T.B.I. –Remove the air cleaner cover and place the Tornado inside the air filter element. If needed, you may cut out a blade from the Tornado to make room for a second sensor. This option will still keep the Tornado’s warranty valid. Q: Does the Tornado work with an aftermarket Air intake system? A: The Tornado normally provides even better results when installed in conjunction with an aftermarket high flow intake system. On fuel injected models please measure the inside diameter of the intake hose or pipe at the end the air filter. On carbureted models please measure the height from the base of the housing to the top of the air filter. Q: Do vehicles require 2 units? A:
Most vehicles only require 1 Tornado unit. Since the concept
of the Tornado is swirl the airflow, adding a second unit will only swirl
the same air. Testing has shown no difference while using 2 units. Q: Where can I buy a Tornado? A: Tornado is available at your local AutoZone, Checker, Schuck’s, Kragen, Keystone, Napa/Balkamp, Pep Boys or Murray’s Discount Auto Parts Store. Order online at the following stores: jcwhitney.com, stylinconcepts.com, jegs.com or driverfx.com. Q: How much does the Tornado cost? A: The Tornado retails for $69.98 direct from the factory but our retailers have very competitive pricing. Q: Do I need to reset my mass airflow sensor? A: 90% of vehicles do not require the mass airflow sensor to be reset. However, since you’re under the hood we recommend disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for approximately 5 minutes. This will allow the computer to recalibrate the next time you start the engine. NOTE: If your radio has factory code make sure you have it before disconnecting the battery. Q: Will the Tornado void my vehicle’s warranty? A: No, It is illegal for a car manufacturer to void the vehicle’s warranty just because aftermarket equipment was installed on the vehicle Q: Does the Tornado have a warranty? A: The Tornado has a 30-day money back guarantee and a lifetime warranty
on the part itself. |
